Payroll Matters in Ireland

Payroll Matters in Ireland is a voluntary community social media group. Available predominantly on Facebook, but also on LinkedIn, Twitter & YouTube, it is a community group for PAYE workers to ask questions about pay and work-related issues.

The Facebook Group provides a platform for PAYE workers to discuss, ask questions, like or comment on payroll & tax related issues such as tax credits, income tax returns, statements of liability, annual leave, public holidays & more work-related issues. We offer services complimentary to Revenue, Citizens Advice, and the WRC.

The seeds for this group were sown during April May June, July, and August 2020. Many of you will have your own memories of these months. What brought it about was the heartfelt sympathy Boyle Payroll Project Management had for thousands of PAYE workers who struggled to get answers relating to PUP, TWSS, tax credits etc. Both Revenue and the DSP were snowed under dealing with a national crisis while still having to work with the same fears and anxieties as the rest of the population. Most Revenue and DSP staff were working from home, so conditions were not ideal for them. Hence and understandably there were huge delays for PAYE workers to get answers to their queries.

As our Facebook Group continued to grow we added a Facebook page with the same name in order to provide relevant information on the frequently asked questions and also provide updates on current payroll related topics.

Find Answers to Payroll Questions

The main sources to find answers are on our Blog,  on our glossary of Payroll Definitions and with our Payroll Calculators. Many of our members look for for step by step guidance and instruction on how to to do certain tasks, so we set up a YouTube channel to help them along.
