May Day Non Banking Day on 1st May and How it Affects Pay Days.

The 1st May is a Non-Banking Day across most European countries, but here in Ireland our Public Holiday falls on 5th May which is the 1st Monday in May, and therefore the Banks here in Ireland are closed on the Monday. 5th May. The issue we address here is when 1st May falls on any other banking day that is not Monday. So when the 1st of May is on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday in any year the issue we highlight here arises.
